What is AI Chat Exporter?

A Chrome extension plus a small web app. The extension reads the conversation you are looking at on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek, Perplexity and turns the turns you select into PDF, DOCX, Markdown, TXT, JSON, CSV, HTML, JSONL, PNG or a ZIP bundle. The web app handles your plan, your quota and your shared links.

Do I need an account?

Not for local formats. An account is only needed for server-rendered PDF, shared links and anything tied to your plan.

Which formats stay entirely in my browser?

Markdown, TXT, JSON, CSV, HTML, JSONL, DOCX, PNG and ZIP. PDF is the single format rendered on our server, because producing selectable text, real page numbers and a working table of contents needs a browser engine with a print pipeline.

What exactly is sent when I export a PDF?

Sanitised HTML built from the turns you selected, plus a two-minute signed ticket carrying a job id, your plan name and a size limit. The render service holds the HTML in memory, streams the PDF back, and never writes it to disk or a database.

Why is there a daily PDF limit?

Each PDF starts a real browser process on our infrastructure. The limit is what that costs, expressed as a number: 5 a day on Free, 200 on Pro, 100 on Lifetime.

One plan really covers every platform?

Yes. Your plan is attached to your account, not to a platform. New adapters are included as they ship.

Which browsers work?

Chrome is the browser we test and publish for. Chromium-based browsers such as Edge, Brave, Arc and Vivaldi install the same package from the Chrome Web Store.

No. It is an independent tool that reads pages you are already logged into, and it uses their trademarks only to say which sites it supports.

Yes. Deep Research reports keep their reference list, and canvas documents are exported as their own sections with code fences preserved.

Yes — bulk export walks your conversation list and writes one file per thread into a single ZIP with an index. Bulk export is a Pro feature.

Only for server-rendered PDF, which is rendered and discarded immediately. Every other format — Markdown, DOCX, JSON, CSV, HTML, JSONL — is produced entirely inside your browser.

Each artifact becomes a separate file inside the ZIP export, named after the artifact and given the right extension. In single-file formats they are inlined as fenced code blocks.

Because they read the DOM once. Gemini only renders the turns near the viewport. AI Chat Exporter scrolls to the top, waits for the turn count to stop changing, then captures.
